Completed insanity day 10 today. Ok, it’s taken me 13 days, cos I failed to hit the 5am get ups 3 times in 2 weeks. But 10 high intensity training sessions in 13 days is not too bad in my mind.
I’d love to catch up though and today I intended to do two sessions back to back. But after the Plyo cardio session I was wiped out, so I thought I’d leave the idea of rolling into the 2nd session.
Maybe I’ll do another one later? Wishful thinking.
Plyo cardio is hard. They all are. But I quite enjoyed it today. I felt myself getting a bit stronger in the upper body work and definitely feeling quicker and pushing out more reps than at the start of the program.
I just feel more loose and spritely. I have an extra spring in my step. I feel like my form is improving as I go and I’m a little bit quicker. Nothing major, but noticeable.
I can see minor changes in my body, but to be fair I’m probably not doing the program justice as my diet has been fairly loose of late. So consious of how much sugar I’m eating. I just love chocolate and biscuits tho.
I need to quit the internal dialogue that justifies my sugar calories due to not consuming any alcohol calories anymore.
I find the hardest part of the workouts are just getting going. Getting to the point where I’m stood in my conservatory, shorts n trainers on ready to go. Once the jogging starts on the warm up, the rest just fades away in a blur. And it always feels fantastic afterwards.
I love how little space you need to do insanity. You do need a decent solid flooring. And enough space and height to do pressups and jump side to side. I just move the baby mat *below* and I’m away !
Another weekend goes by alcohol free. Life feels so different now. Just so normal, human and adult. I feel like I’ve done 10years worth of ‘growing up’ in 5 months.
My little boy is 6 months old on in a couple of days. Time is flying! But I’m so glad I’ve spent the majority of that time sober, clearheaded and happy…. 🙂
enjoy your weekend 🙂
